SoundBuddy
Key sounds, input lock and devices in the menu bar
SoundBuddy is a native Mac app with three keyboard sound packs: Blue Click (clicky), Brown Tactile and Red Linear, each with adjustable volume. To hear sounds across apps, you must explicitly grant Input Monitoring permission.
An optional Input Lock keeps your preferred microphone selected while SoundBuddy is open, with a fallback if it disconnects. Paired devices can be connected from the menu bar; battery readings depend on the device. The menu-bar mark, popup size, colors and local shortcuts are customizable. Requires macOS 14+ and Apple silicon; the vendor mentions online licence checks. The website offers an interactive browser demo that has no access to your Mac.
Why no subscription? The vendor lists a purchase price of €5.32 for Mac; no recurring fee is mentioned on the page.
