QR scanner that inspects payloads locally before you act
QR Code Halo scans with the camera or from photos and never auto-opens a destination. The payload is parsed on device into scheme, host, path, query and fragment; deterministic rules return Safe, Caution or Blocked with a transparent finding. No network reputation lookups are used. It reads 20 barcode formats and offers batch scanning with duplicate and host groups plus bounded lookalike-host checks.
Nine creators (text, link, Wi-Fi, contact, email, phone, SMS, location, calendar), unlimited local history with favorites, search and filters, and full batch-audit reading are included at no cost. Each device gets three successful scans. The developer states on the App Store that no data is collected.
Why no subscription? Lifetime Pro is a one-time $5.99 unlock adding unlimited scanning, saving and acting on batch results, batch creation and CSV, committed backup and restore, high-resolution PNG, PDF and SVG export, and custom Aurora styles. The developer states plainly: no subscription.
