ScanTo Pro: Offline PDF & OCR
Offline document scanner with OCR, unlocked once
ScanTo Pro turns paper into PDFs on iPhone and iPad: automatic edge detection, perspective correction, multi-page scanning, five looks (Original, Color, Grayscale, B&W, Document enhance), plus reordering, rotating and deleting pages. An ID card mode puts front and back on one page, and PDFs export sized to the image, A4 or US Letter.
Text recognition runs on the device according to the developer: scans are read automatically, can be searched by word, are sorted into categories such as Receipts or Contracts, and the recognized text can be exported as a .txt file. Face ID app lock and password-protected, encrypted PDFs are included. The developer states there is no account, no cloud and no network use — it works the same in airplane mode; the App Store listing says no data is collected.
Why no subscription? The download is free with a few trial scans. A single Full Unlock at $4.99 removes the watermark and opens unlimited scanning, text export, password PDFs and the ID layout.
