Private Voice Notes
Pick the folder first, then record — local-first
Private Voice Notes is a recorder for iPhone, Mac and Apple Vision that flips one step: choose the folder first, then hit record. Ideas, songs, classes, clients or interviews start organized instead of piling up in one messy list. You can search recording titles, notes and transcripts.
Recordings stay on your device, and the developer states no data is collected. Transcription runs on device when your device, language and iOS support it — there is no cloud fallback. Private folders are locked with device authentication, and audio, notes or transcripts can be shared or exported. Note that lost recordings cannot be recovered by the developer.
Why no subscription? One-time purchase at $1.29, no recurring fees. Family Sharing is supported.
