FolioMend
Revise book index page references, decision by decision
FolioMend is a locally run browser application for index revision: you load two text PDF proofs (old and new) plus an editable CSV/TSV index, confirm the printed page numbering, and approve each locator explicitly as unchanged, moved, split or removed. Output is a corrected CSV, readable HTML/TXT and a separate decision ledger; original row order and extra columns are kept.
It needs Python 3 and desktop Chrome, started with python3 serve.py at http://127.0.0.1:8765/app/. Only Linux x86_64 with Python 3.10.12 and Chrome 152 was checked. Limits: 100 pages and 10 MiB per proof, 500 index rows, no OCR, no scans or encrypted PDFs, no autosave or undo. A free illustrated practice pack with proofs and expected answers is available without the application.
