Draft Light: Focused Writing
Markdown editor for notes, journals and stories
Draft Light is a quiet Markdown editor for notes, journals and stories. Unlimited drafts are free: pin, categorize, search, fold sections, link drafts and follow backlinks. There’s a table of contents, Apple Pencil sketching on iPad, web clipping from the share sheet, Apple Watch dictation, plus Siri and Shortcuts. Exporting plain text, Markdown, TextBundle, rich text and Draftlight files is included.
Draftlight Pro is one non-consumable in-app purchase at $3.99 unlocking eight tools: iCloud sync through your own Apple account, per-draft password encryption and app lock, HTML, DOCX, PDF, JPG and ePub export, text search inside images and PDFs, Spotlight and special searches, typography settings, nested tags and tasks. No developer account is required, and drafts are stored on your device by default. Optional product-use analytics stays off unless you turn it on.
Why no subscription? Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Earlier paid-app buyers get Pro once Apple verifies the purchase.
