Crochet Row Counter: Patterns is an iPhone app for crochet and knitting projects. You type or paste your own plain-text steps; the app shows the current instruction, your next row, and your position inside a repeating block. A row counter with an optional stitch counter plus undo and redo covers miscounts.
You can open your own pattern PDFs offline, save a page, and set a manual reading band while working. Notes for yarn, color, hook or needle, size and the project stay alongside. Projects are saved so you resume where you paused; the developer states you can export a project backup or a readable text copy.
Why no subscription? The developer explicitly offers monthly ($2.99) and annual ($14.99) subscriptions, so a subscription is not ruled out. To avoid one, there is a lifetime option at $29.99; existing lifetime owners keep access. The listing says “Free · In-App Purchases” without specifying which features are free.
