Concise checks pasted or typed text for readability: hard sentences, passive voice, adverbs, complex words and wordy phrases. It also shows word and sentence counts, reading time and a highlighted preview. Core analysis runs entirely on device, with no account and no internet connection required; drafts are stored locally.
The basics are free. “Concise Pro Lifetime” is a one-time $14.99 purchase adding local projects and folders, version history with comparison, smart fixes, six readability formulas, writing profiles, Markdown/RTF/PDF file tools and batch analysis. Purchases and restores go through the App Store and RevenueCat; the developer states writing content is not sent to them. A separate Pro+ tier with AI tools is sold only as a subscription (from $4.99 weekly).
Why no subscription? The clarity checks are free and offline, and the full editor feature set is a single purchase. Only the AI extras require a recurring plan.
