100 Notes Studio: Pen & Paper
Handwriting, PDF markup and flashcards, offline
100 Notes Studio combines handwriting, typed text, PDF markup and page-attached audio in one notebook. It offers 29 pens and brushes with pressure and tilt support, lasso, ruler, shape tools, ink layers, and either fixed pages or an infinite canvas in A4, A5, Letter and custom sizes.
Handwriting and PDF text recognition run on device, and search covers titles, body text, handwriting and attachments. For studying there are linked flashcards, cloze cards and FSRS spaced repetition. The developer states there is no account, no ads and no tracking; notes stay on your device unless you export or back them up yourself. The workspace or a single notebook can be locked with device authentication.
Why no subscription? The free version includes the editor, tools, PDF markup and study features, limited to 1 notebook of 5 pages and 2 styles. The optional Lifetime Studio upgrade at $5.99 adds unlimited notebooks, all 100 styles, vector-ink PDF export, page history and encrypted backup — paid once.
